What we collect
When you browse
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful and where visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. We use it in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and this site runs no advertising or retargeting pixels.
Our host also records standard server logs, including IP address and pages requested. That is ordinary infrastructure logging, used to keep the site running and investigate abuse.
When you email us
This site has no contact forms and no visitor accounts. If you email hello@smartopt.io, we receive what you sent and use it to reply and to handle the business you raised. That is the entire flow.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, share it with data brokers, buy contact lists, or run third-party advertising on this site.
Cookies
One kind: the Google Analytics cookies described above. Browser-level tracking protection or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks them, and the site works normally without them.
Who processes your data
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps server logs.
- Google Analytics provides the measurement described above.
Client engagements involve connecting marketing and analytics accounts, and those are governed by the service agreement for that engagement, not this website policy.
Retention and your rights
Emails are kept as long as the business relationship they concern reasonably requires, and deleted on request. Analytics data follows Google’s standard retention for our property. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: hello@smartopt.io. No charge, no justification required. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific statutory data rights, tell us which framework you are asking under and we will honor it on that basis.
Changes
If our practices change, this page and its date change with them.
